I was looking through some things in a closet in my office and found this article about Burns being the first bar-coder in Knoxville. Now every piece of mail, even first class, has a bar-code whether applied by companies like Burns or by the USPS. Applying the intelligent bar-codes saves our customers money on postage.

I am President/Owner of Burns Mailing & Printing, Inc. My late husband, Ken Burns founded our business in 1981. I joined him in 1990. We started out as a printing only company and added mailing and graphic design in 1991. It enabled us to offer graphic design, printing and mailing at one location.
