We started a law firm that year and needed to establish a brand, and quickly. We consulted with the Burns folks to get letterhead, envelopes, memoranda, business cards, stationery, announcement mailings and cards, and forms. Burns responded with helpful suggestions and design ideas. They were there when we needed them in getting the firm off the ground, and remain the firm’s stationers to this day.
Since the earliest days, we have added a variety of other print needs (personalized cards, invoice forms, things like that). Burns has worked with us doing promotional materials and other printed informational matter. Their work and ideas are first rate and they are always reliable.
When we started the firm, we decided to design a unique Christmas/holiday card to be mailed to the firm’s clients, friends, and members of the judiciary. We worked closely with artists at Burns to come up with cards which are individually unique. Based upon reaction from the recipients of our holiday cards, they are an unquestioned hit. Many tell us “I always look forward to receiving your firm’s card”. In conjunction with the Burns design team, we get an impact statement mailed to everyone important to the business—and our friends—every holiday season. And Burns facilitates the mailing of the cards—numbering in the thousands every year. We believe that putting something different, well thought out, well illustrated and conveying a sincere message—usually with humor—is an opportunity to bond with the recipients of our cards. Sending an electronic Christmas card does not have the same impact in our judgment.
Over the years we have had a couple of firm design updates and changes and the Burns people are lock-step with the firm as we update our image.
