We should never take the right to vote for granted. Women have had the right to vote for less than 100 years. The Voting Rights Act, signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson (1908-73) on August 6, 1965, aimed to overcome legal barriers at the state and local levels that prevented African Americans from exercising their right to vote under the 15th Amendment (1870) to the Constitution of the United States. Many obstacles have been overcome and many men and women have died so that we can have the freedom to vote. It is our right and our duty to vote.

I am President/Owner of Burns Mailing & Printing, Inc. My late husband, Ken Burns founded our business in 1981. I joined him in 1990. We started out as a printing only company and added mailing and graphic design in 1991. It enabled us to offer graphic design, printing and mailing at one location. We are pleased to announce that in 2019 we have added promotional products as well. We are now truly a one stop convenience for all of these services. We are 100% women owned and are certified by the State of TN as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE). My business is my passion and I love to travel and spend time with my family.
