Recently, I have had two instances of customers who previously had been paying first class postage when it could have been mailed Standard A, at a great savings on postage. Both customers thought that the USPS required them to mail first class when in fact it wasn’t necessary. If we think that the content of a customer’s would qualify for a lower rate, we take it to our bulk mail unit and get a ruling on whether it can go at a lower rate. In both instances, the customer’s mail was approved to mail at a lower rate and this has saved them hundreds of dollars. There are lots of things that require being mailed first class but it is worth checking out for the added savings. Better yet, bring it to me and we will check it out for you.
Does Your Mail Really Need To Mail First Class?

I am President/Owner of Burns Mailing & Printing, Inc. My late husband, Ken Burns founded our business in 1981. I joined him in 1990. We started out as a printing only company and added mailing and graphic design in 1991. It enabled us to offer graphic design, printing and mailing at one location. We are pleased to announce that in 2019 we have added promotional products as well. We are now truly a one stop convenience for all of these services. We are 100% women owned and are certified by the State of TN as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE). My business is my passion and I love to travel and spend time with my family.
