It would be hard to imagine what our world would be like if all nonprofit organizations were suddenly not there. I have many nonprofit customers and have come to respect, admire and call them friends. I became an associate member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2000. I actually joined to network with nonprofit folks but what I have gained from knowing them for so many years is a lot more than I expected. You see, nonprofit folks have a heart and a passion for what they do. Most of them are highly educated and could earn a lot more money in the for profit world, but they have a heart for the homeless, the animals, the children and the list goes on and on, of the good work that they do.
This is my 15th year as a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and I hope to have many more.
